We know some pets can take a little time adjusting to a change in their diet, or if your pet is feeling a little under the weather. Just like us they might need a little encouragement. Check out these five tips:
If you are new to raw or have a fussy pet, introduce our food gradually. Reduce their current meal to allow for the additional fresh food - remove 2 tablespoons of dry or wet food and add one either a POWER BALL, PURRY POWER meatball or 1 tablespoon of raw. Our fresh food is nutritionally superior so less is needed.
Match the protein they were eating before switching and stick to it for three days - if they were eating chicken, then start with a chicken variety - then introduce other varieties.
Your pet might not like the temperature of refrigerated food (they've been used to it coming out of a packet). Take it out of the fridge 20 minutes before feeding, or add a little hot water.
Add a small amount of melted goats butter or a little grated cheese. A tin of sardines in water, pouring a little water onto the food or mashing a small amount of sardine is a great way to tantalise the taste buds
If you have MIGHTY MINCE or POWER BALLS, brown the meat to bring out the natural caramelisation. These recipes contain no bone making these foods safe to cook. We've replaced the bone with eggshell, a natural sources of calcium, ensuring they are fully balanced and complete. You don't need to use oil, just a little water to stop it from sticking. As they get used to eating it, reduce the cook time until they are eating raw again.
