As more and more vets are learning about pet nutrition, they are educating themselves to the power of a fresh raw diet. As a result, the number of raw-friendly (and raw-fan) vets is growing.
Interestingly, that most vets are only given a few short hours instruction on pet nutrition. Vet nurses have to complete much longer modules about this element of pet health, so it's often worth speaking to the nurse in your practice if you have questions.
Animal Behavioural Specialists often endorse a fresh raw diet as they report pets can react to sugars, carbs and additives (like some humans). Some of the most obvious benefits include improved digestion, easier weight management, healthy skin and coat, reduced allergy symptoms, and healthy teeth and gums.
We know our food is really great, but don't just take our word for it. Here's what a raw specialist vet has to say:
"I still recommend Poppy’s Picnic above all other raw food because I truly trust not only the quality of ingredients but also the commitment to maintaining true nutrient balance" Dr Charlotte Gray MA VetMB (cantab) MRCVS
